The next rod available for immediate delivery is a 7'9" 2/1 5wt (7952) Schliske Bamboo Finespot Fly Rod
This rod was made for the finepot stream and was fished two days on the stream in 2009 and again in 2010. The action is a medium fast progressive action. The fine tip on this rod protects tippets when fighting big trout. Perfect for tossing big green drake mayfly patterns to wild trout. It will also handle nymphs and streamers just fine. A true 5wt that matches nicely with a 3" Hardy Bougle or St. George. This rod has an engraved Bellinger cap & ring reel seat with black ash hardwood spacer. Half wells cork grip. Signature wraps. Measuring wraps. Beautiful, rich flamed cane. Vintage Black & White Jasper silk thread wraps with single intermediate wraps of claret gossamer. 2 piece. 1 tip. This rod is $1600 new. This personal, used rod for immediate delivery $1300.
This rod is another personal rod and a favorite. I simply have too many rods and need to let a few go. This is an older rod (#502). It has caught many large trout and been photographed, filmed and published a few times. It's a 7'6" 2/1 5/6wt that has been broken and repaired. The butt is a little short and there's a clear repair wrap on the butt just above the measuring wraps. Blued cap & ring reel seat with an impregnated black ash hardwood spacer. Blued Bellinger size #13 ferrules. Black silk wraps tipped cardinal. Half Wells cork grip. Black & Red agate stripping guide.

The following shot of the rod was published in Fly Fisherman magazine.

This rod is $1700 new. This used personal rod for immediate delivery, $1100.
7'6" 2/1 4wt (7642) Schliske Bamboo Rio Grande Fly Rod
The Rio Grande Rod is made for casting dry flies, dry &
dropper, or streamers on the mighty Rio Grande in southern Colorado.
Designed for the big hatches on the river just after runoff when
everything is coming alive. This is the go to, do it all rod. The rod
you grab on the way out the door because it's already rigged up with
the right leader and fly from slaying trout yesterday. The Rio Grande
features Blonde cane, Olive Green wraps tipped dark claret, silk
wrapped titanium ferrules with triple tipping. Birdseye maple hardwood
spacer to match the blonde cane with bright Nickle Silver reel
seat. The cap & ring seat was hand made in
Boulder, Colorado by my good friend Mark Shamburg. He also
hand turned the titanium size #12 ferrules. Select 1/4" ring
cork torpedo grip. Engraved butt cap, signature wraps and
measuring wraps.
The action of this rod is a quick, dry fly, progressive action with a
light tip. The fine tip on this rod protects tippets when
fighting big trout. A true 4wt that matches nicely with a 3"
Hardy Bougle or 2 7/8" Hardy Perfect. 2 piece. 1
tip. A second tip can be made for an extra $200.
Custom blonde rod sock and olive aluminum rod tube with brass domed
ends. This is rod #913.

This rod is $2000 new. This used personal rod for immediate
delivery $1499.
Schliske Bamboo 8' 3/1 5wt Bear River Rod
This rod is a brand new model designed by Matt Schliske and wife Marguerite Meyer. This rod is Marguerite's personal rod. It has yet to be fished however. It is brand new and available for sale, but may be fished lightly soon if we can get out on the water! She has decided she wants a two piece rod that is shorter and lighter for casting dries. This model is named after a special place and is also a family name for Marguerite. This is a powerful 5wt that will cast long and heavy and well as light and short. Duronze ferrules hand turned by Mark Shamburg and matching Duronze cap & ring reel seat with highly figured spalted maple hardwood spacer. Half wells cork grip. Lightly flamed cane. Dark plum wraps triple tipped olive gold with full intermediates. This rod has the most intricate wrap pattern Marguerite has done to date. Matching plum and pale olive yellow hang tag rod sock and aluminum tube with brass domed cap. A truly striking rod.

This rod is $2400 new. This first Bear River rod for immediate delivery can be had for $2199.
The last rod available for immediate delivery is a 3/1 Schliske Bamboo 11'4" Two Handed Spliced Joint Spey Rod. This rod will cast a 410-450 Scandi Head and 460-510 grain Skagit Head. All over the globe, there are people who love to fish and in the universal language of the sport, one name reigns supreme - that of Hardy. For well over a century, House of Hardy has been renowned as the manufacturer of the finest game fishing tackle in the world - the name is synonymous with quality and excellence. Such reputations are not acquired easily, but it has never faltered throughout the company's long history.
For your
consideration is a wonderful, collectible Hardy Cascapedia MK III Fly
Reel. This is the brand new version of a timeless classic for
2011. These reels will be available November or December,
2010. This reel is brand new in the box with original
lifetime warranty. It has never been used or had line or backing
installed. The Cascapedia is a joy to collect or fish. The reel is
reversible and can be set for either LHW or RHW. It is currently set up
for LHW. This reel features the beautiful S shaped handle and three
handsome medallions on the faceplate. The side plates and
frame are no longer ported, like they were on the MKII version of the
Cascapedia. This design is more classic and true to the
original look of the Cascapedia reel. This reel really purrs
with that classic Hardy sound. The reel has the cool Hardy Castle and
Fly logo on the drag adjustment knob as well as on one of the front
medallions. The drag adjustment is also very reminiscent of the early
Vom Hofe reels, with the arrow pointing to the red dots when you click
the drag adjustment. This would be a perfect reel for that special
bamboo fly rod, casting dry flies to native, wild trout. Comes with the
original lifetime warranty, case, box and paperwork. This listing is
for a pre-order of the new Cascapedia MKIII fly reel that will be
available in November or December, 2010. This reel is
available in the following sizes, with corresponding prices: 2/3/4
($395), 5/6/7 ($449), 8/9 ($495), 10/11 ($549).
Available in four sizes, two trout and two salmon,
the #2/3/4 and #5/6/7 versions offer a wide ranging click check whilst
the larger #8/9 and #10/11 feature a powerful disc drag capable of
stopping the largest salmon. The drag regulator button also has a
pointer for easy reference in the heat of battle. The matte black side
plates give a high tech sleek appearance that is perfectly complemented
by the rims, which are hand-polished to a mirror-like finish. Above
all, the S shaped handle is retained, the immediate emblem of this
magnificent reel.
The new Cascapedia MkIII is a reel to collect, to look at, to treasure.
But above all, it's a reel for the modern day, to be used with pleasure
and admiration.

Schliske Bamboo is proud to present the newly re-issued Hardy Perfect
Fly Reel. The Perfect. The reel that needs no introduction, the reel
that is perhaps the most famous product to ever have left the Hardy
factory in Alnwick. A timeless design utilising the most modern
technology made once again in Alnwick, England. In 1891, the first
Hardy "Perfect" reel was patented. This design has stood the test of
time, and although there have been one or two minor alterations, the
same basic model is manufactured today. The new Hardy Perfect reels are
made by a third generation Hardy reel maker in Alnwick, England. The
new Perfects have the classic agate lineguard and are available in LHW
or RHW versions. The high quality, agate, line guard, the dovetailed
reel fitting, the durable gunmetal grey, anodised finish with
distinctive ivorine handle all make this one of history's most
strikingly recognisable reels. And how well it fishes - fifteen
stainless steel ball-bearings give the smoothest of winds. The click
check in the two larger models and the fixed check in the smallest have
protected the lightest tippets for decades. Perfect really does mean
perfect. Three sizes are available: 2 5/8", 2 7/8", and 3 1/8".
Supplied in a soft, sheepskin lined leather pouch. Engineered from top
quality aluminum. Navel brass spindle on the plate. Made in a limited
number and going fast.

One of the most famous pools on one of the most famous salmon rivers, the Namsen in Norway, in part derives its name from the Bouglés. The pool is called the Music Box reputedly because of the number of big fish over the years running line off.
It's easy to forget that the Bouglé MkVII is derived from the older, equally classic Perfect. The Perfect ran on ball bearings which made it the smoothest winding reel of its time - yet time has in no way dated the muscular beauty of the Bouglé. This new Bouglé has been enhanced by the return of the reel to its original clear anodised aluminum finish. With its ivorine handle, the Bouglé does look at its very best in its sumptuous silver sheen. The new MKVII Bougle has the solid winding plate reminiscent of the classic Hardy Perfect that the reel is based on.
In short, it's a reel you can trust and enjoy in equal measure.

The Hardy
Lightweight Fly Reels offer strength from
the high-grade aluminum and durability from the anodizing process. We
offer three different sizes – the Flyweight, the
Featherweight
and the LRH Lightweight. Easy-to-change spools, available in two to six
weight options, simply the classic reel on small streams worldwide.
The Lightweight Series reels are simply gems of simplicity. They have
been on the market now for a shade less than half a century and during
that time they have sold huge numbers worldwide. And they're still
selling. You just can't improve on their simplicity and their classic
design. They were designed to be the perfect reel on small waters and
they remain leaders in that role. Hardy has hardly changed anything on
the reel because they haven't needed to. The models made in the 1950s
were as near perfection as you can get and they've never really been
bettered.

New for 2009 Is the Hardy line of Glass fly rods. These rods are superb for the cost. Elegent touches abound, like the cork rod tube cap, the tube sock, the ferrule plugs, engraved tube, silk screened tube, all cork grip and seat with stamped aluminum cap and ring hardware, the ferrule plug pocket in the rod sock, and the list goes on. These rods are amazing to cast, especially close in. They have so much sensitivity. A great backup for your cane rods or for those small, tight wild trout stream when bush whacking is a necessity and you want something you can bang around.
